Our lab runs the 3D-visualization facility of the Museum für Naturkunde. Our setup includes a micro-computed tomography machine as well as a 3D surface scanner and a photogrammetry kit. In addition, we have several workstations equipped with Volume Graphics and, partially, Amira. Check out our facility’s Twitter account for examples, as well as this page for further information and tutorials. Kristin Mahlow is our head technician.
Next to our own research, as well as projects from other colleagues at the museum, we are also doing external services but these are not free of charge. For more information and rates please send us an email: mikroctlabor(at)mfn-berlin.de
