I am a bachelors student in geology at Al Neelain, Khartoum, Sudan (graduating 2023). My first passion with paleontology was when I was in the second year of my university studies, when I learned about microfossils. I became curious about geological history, the beginning of life on Earth, paleoclimate, and evolution. In 2022 and 2023 I participated in paleontological field work with the middle Atbara project and PALEONILE, and this increased my questions and my ambition to know more about fossils, especially mammals. In 2023 I was awarded the SVP Futures Award, which supported training in fossil preparation at the National Museum in Addis Ababa, and travel to the Museum für Naturkunde to obtaining research training in vertebrate palaeontology. I am currently conducting a one-year fellowship at the Museum für Naturkunde under the PALEONILE project.
