I completed my bachelors in geology at the University of Kharoum in Sudan, and in 2017 I received a M.Sc. in geology from the University of Selçuk in Turkey. As of 2020, I am a DAAD scholar and PhD candidate at the Technical University and the Museum für Naturkunde, Berlin. My PhD project examines the sediments of the palaeontologically-productive Pleistocene alluvial sediments in the upper Atbara Valley in eastern Sudan, using sedimentological, mineralogical and geochemical methods to reconstruct palaeoenvironmental conditions during deposition.
